I don’t know how other people my age feel, but sometimes I am lost with all the new media, which are not as easy to use as their dreators might want us to believe. Homepages, HMTL, ADSL and all the digital internet networking sites. Full time job if you ask me.
Anyways, I am pleased to express my pleasure on how well the recording went with Tøbrud and Flemming Rasmussen. After hearing the results numerous times, I am taken back with the simplicity and swing of the music. Very satisfying after 2 and a half years of small slow steps. Well, it was worth waiting for and I am looking forward to the completion of ’A Time to Listen’. I sincerely hope others take an interest and can use our efforts to something positive in their lives.
Just finished a very good book by Lone Frank called Mind Field which tells about research in neuroscience and the study of the brain. How we think and feel is a great mystery (also to oneself often!) and the recent discoveries will have great impact. I hope the knowledge is used to make the world a better place and not as a tool to control people more effectively and to get them to buy certain products or ideas.
Generally I have been thinking a lot of all the troubles, conflicts and unnecessary suffering going on. There has to be a better way. A plan. A way of thinking that will be conducive to peaceful co-existence and cooperation. I think we are plagued by negative emotions that should be curbed. The excessive competition and value given to being number 1 (nr. 2 is a loser!) is out of all proportion. But I guess it comes from nature: the nr 1 alpha male gets the females. Hmm have to think a bit about that…
